About The Position

The Tribal Career Development – Management Trainee - I position will prepare members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida for a career within Seminole Gaming and the hospitality industry. Management Trainees learn from a blend of on-the-job technical training, specialized classroom training, seminars and workshops dedicated to management best practices, mentoring, and work experience. The Program will last two or three years, depending on the individual’s background, experience, and how rapidly he/she is able to progress.

Requirements

• Must be a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida or a federally recognized Native American Tribe.
• Ability to stand, walk, and demonstrate high mobility for a majority of the shift.
• Ability to speak and listen to internal and external customer directions or orders in an atmosphere of varying background noise.
• Ability to transit across surfaces that may alternate between carpeted and hard surfaces.
• Ability to walk through slippery surfaces and/or sloping floors or stairs.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel small objects such as paper or cloth.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms overhead and from side to side.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Ability to bend, lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to use, push and pull wheeled hand-carts or other equipment weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and twist at the waist.

• Experience in the hospitality industry.
• Previous management training or experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn from a blend of on-the-job technical training, specialized classroom training, seminars and workshops dedicated to management best practices, mentoring, and work experience.
• Placement will be at any of the following six locations: Seminole Casino Brighton, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Casino Hollywood (Classic), Seminole Casino Immokalee, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino – Hollywood, or Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino – Tampa.
• Complete certain training portions at the Tampa or Hollywood Hotel and Casino.
