About The Position

As a Management Trainee, you will play a pivotal role in our daily operations and recruitment efforts, particularly for our new Ice Cream plant. Over a two-year period, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of Human Resources, gaining comprehensive experience within the department while also developing a broad understanding of our business operations. The dynamic nature of this role allows for resource flexibility to address various challenges, including potential rotations in other departments. Your responsibilities will include driving improvements, performing administrative tasks, conducting candidate outreach, and managing diverse HR functions to ensure an efficient hiring process and foster positive employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Recent completion of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow in HR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software and applicant tracking systems.
  • Discreet and professional handling of confidential information.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of HRIS database design and familiarity with database tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes and manage competing demands.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and find solutions with determination.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in tasks like composing, typing, and proofreading.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve goals on time.
  • Problem-solving skills for timely resolution of issues and effective information gathering and analysis.
  • Capable writer and oral communicator, able to write reports and deliver presentations.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, comfortable working individually, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish good relations with all levels of employees.

  • Basic knowledge of HRIS database design and familiarity with database tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the recruitment process by creatively posting job openings across multiple platforms, including job boards and social media, to attract top talent.
  • Take charge of screening and evaluating resumes, scheduling interviews, and efficiently coordinating logistics with candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
  • Maintain and enhance applicant tracking system to guarantee accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and collect candidate information for thorough review by the Sr. HR Generalist-Talent Acquisition.
  • Play a vital role in the onboarding process for new hires by preparing engaging orientation materials and ensuring all essential paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to organize and participate in recruiting events, including job fairs and community outreach programs.
  • Provide valuable administrative support to the HR department by responding to inquiries and assisting with innovative employee engagement initiatives.
  • Uphold a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with candidates, employees, and external partners.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and human resources.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
