About The Position

The Sherwin-Williams Floorcovering Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position designed to prepare individuals for a Floorcovering Facility Management or Sales Representative role within 18-24 months. Following Sherwin-Williams’ promote-from-within philosophy, successful completion of the initial 8-to-12-week training can lead to progression into a Floorcovering Operations Manager or Field Technician position. The program offers career flexibility and growth opportunities across the United States, serving professional clients in major markets. Participants will partner with facility leadership, sales, and regional management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business, providing leadership and strategic insight. The training covers facility operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development. Trainees will assist in growing market share by selling floorcovering materials to commercial consumers, including property management companies, builders, and renovation contractors, gaining insight into customer organizational structures and interacting with various stakeholders responsible for procurement, community management, project management, maintenance, and property development. The program aims to provide all necessary skills for a successful career in facility management or professional sales, offering a clear career trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with facility leadership, sales, and regional management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business
  • Provide leadership and insight into the development and strategy of the facility
  • Gain knowledge in facility operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development
  • Assist in growing the company’s market share by partnering with and selling floorcovering materials to commercial consumers
  • Gain insight into the organizational structures of customers operating in key market segments
  • Become experienced at interacting with individuals responsible for procurement, community management, project management, maintenance, and property development
  • Get out into the community and establish relationships essential to growing the business
