Facilities Development and Management seeks a Management Analyst to administer, manage and evaluate all aspects of the server/system architecture to ensure optimal network reliability, security, data integrity and inter-operability with third party systems and applications. Essential Duties Identify, troubleshoot, and repair any issues with FM energy information databases and sensor arrays Program the ASU Energy Information System (EIS) to accept new or replacement energy meters Program all data points into the EIS front end Program field level Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) devices, meters arrays and gateways Work in the field as required Create reports, scripts and stored procedures to be run against FM databases Maintain the reporting system and EIS meters Assist faculty, staff and students in gathering data from our databases for their research projects Assist in problem solving in areas such as system design, input/output requirements and data processing and reporting. Perform specific tasks in management analysis of energy use data; prepare reports and recommend alternatives for enhancing operating efficiency. Assist with the review and evaluation of energy metering hardware and software to determine its usefulness and appropriateness as related to existing or proposed university goals and operational needs. Assist with research, including conferring with vendors, to resolve questions and problems related to metering and data collection hardware and software and assist in consulting with and advising users in the selection and use of energy use data and trends. Use ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions. Days and Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm This position is based at ASU’s Tempe campus and may require working from other campuses depending on operational needs.   • Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment.
  • Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39-month period from date of hire.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical examination post offer of employment to include audiogram, asbestos worker clearance, respiratory clearance questionnaire and respiratory fit test.
  • This position requires working a rotating on-call/stand-by schedule and may be called in for emergency response including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position is considered safety/security sensitive and will include a fingerprint check.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful passing of the fingerprint check.
  • Experience in: Modern programming environments, forms design and procedures development
  • Energy metering technology, equipment, and data collection
  • Low voltage communications wiring
  • Utilizing SQL databases, running reports, and analyzing data
  • Operating and maintaining energy metering equipment
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of HVAC systems including steam, chilled water, and electrical energy usage and concepts.
