About The Position

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Management Analyst to serve in The Office of National Security (ONS), within the Immediate Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which manages Department-wide programs and provides oversight, policy direction, standards, and performance assessments in the areas of counterintelligence, intelligence, insider threat, cyber threat intelligence, information security, national personnel security, homeland security, and the safeguarding of classified information. ONS provides support of Counterintelligence, Intelligence, and Administrative Support to customers within the HHS organization. The Management Analyst position will assist with administrative support. The Management Analyst will provide documentation management, risk indicator tracking, and operational support to senior personnel. The ONS mission requires increased, high-efficiency administrative support for ONS leadership and national security programs. This enhanced support will include secure scheduling, classified document management, milestone tracking, and strategic planning coordination, enabling senior staff to prioritize mission-critical tasks.

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 8 years of relevant experience with master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
  • Excellent technical writing skills to include spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others
  • Familiarity with Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and Classification Management Tool (CMT)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • TS/SCI security clearance
  • 1-3 years' experience in technical writing or editing with at least one year working in the Intelligence Community

Responsibilities

  • Effectively promotes HHS initiatives to internal and external stakeholder
  • Develops data required for use in the management and direction of programs
  • Researches and investigates new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations
  • Advises on the potential benefits/uses of automation to improve the efficiency of administrative support or program operations
  • Analyzes and evaluates (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to the current and draft Strategic Plans and initiatives
  • Plans, develops, and executes complex, controversial and/or sensitive policies
  • Negotiates, coordinates, and integrates assigned mission and programs
  • Assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of strategic critical infrastructure plans and updating these plans in databases
  • Gathers information; identify and analyze relatively straightforward issues and develops recommendations for critical programs
  • Provides situational awareness during regional contingencies, exercises, and special events to regional leadership in accordance with predetermined standard operating procedures
  • Serves as a technical resource for subordinate organizations in the implementation and continued administration of assigned programs, operations, and management initiatives
  • Researches and investigates new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations
  • Participates actively in evaluating management efficiency and effectiveness in the direction of significant operating programs and in planning and implementing new and or improved methods of operation and management control
