About The Position

Performs highly complex professional administrative and policy analysis work. Work involves conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing systems and developing procedures, conducting work efficiency studies, and preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. May serve as lead worker for professional, technical and administrative employees. Work requires extensive contact with high-level executives, managers and governmental agencies. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis.
  • Management Analyst IV: 3 years experience in business analysis, methods analysis, strategic planning, project management or related function.
  • Management Analyst V: 5 years experience in business analysis, methods analysis, strategic planning, project management or related function.
  • Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
  • Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates statistical data, interprets results and prepares reports on effectiveness of program activities.
  • Monitors, evaluates and makes recommendations concerning accounting activities and contract-related matters.
  • Oversees strategic long- and short-range planning, modeling activities and the evaluation and development of policies.
  • Performs budget-related review, planning and development activities.
  • Provides financial information and recommendations to management.
  • Researches and interprets historical, current and projected data to identify problems, causes and areas where procedural or system changes are indicated.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
  • Oversees the analysis of new or proposed legislation or regulations to determine impact on program operations and management.
  • Prepares comprehensive technical records and reports to present, interprets data, identifies alternatives; and makes and justifies recommendations.
