Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any combination of related experience as an administrative assistant, paralegal, legal secretary, program assistant, or related field.
  • Experience with various software, including Windows XP, WordPerfect, MS Word, Lotus 1-2-3, Excel, and Quattro Pro.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Possible travel, depending on business needs.
  • Some bending and lifting will be required (lifting approximately 30 lbs.).
  • Possible filing may be required.
  • Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation, including checks on 50 State criminal records, education, employment, credit, and driving records, to start employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (Moderate Risk Public Trust) to start employment.
  • Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain training programs, related reports, and spreadsheets, and engage in the review and analysis of reports.
  • Provide critical administrative and technical support to meet training initiatives and program objectives.
  • Prepare training materials by vetting PowerPoint slides and other documents to ensure they are standardized and comply with the agency's Style Guide; responsible for reviewing, editing, proofreading, and reformatting materials to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across presentations, and expanding topics as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the Team by uploading training information to the EOIR Network, including files, documents, and multimedia such as videos for all EOIR trainings.
  • Anticipate potential issues prior to trainings and recommend or implement solutions to ensure the complete and successful execution of training programs.
  • Operate web-based training platforms (e.g., G2W, G2M, WebEx, and MS Teams) and typically serve as the technical advisor on these platforms.
  • Evaluate, implement, administer, and execute training program-related activities of the office and respond to inquiries from the OCIJ Team.
  • Assist in the development, review, and analysis of training evaluations and other specialized reports and tools.
  • Perform video editing using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and render training videos.
  • Ensure 508 Compliance by using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Microsoft Stream to make training videos fully accessible.
