About The Position

The Management Analyst plays a key role in the Administration division, supporting the six divisions of the Community Development Department. Reporting to the Senior Management Analyst in the Administration Division, the Management Analyst I/II is responsible for conducting administrative and management studies, analysis and investigations related to permitting, development applications, creating regulatory programs, policies and ordinances, and engaging with the public and stakeholders in overall community development in the city. This position studies existing and proposed legislation, providing advice regarding possible effects by way of precise and easy to understand reports and visuals for distribution to a wide variety of stakeholders. The Management Analyst I/II gathers, compiles, and interprets a variety of statistical data and prepares administrative reports and grant applications related to daily administrative departmental operations. Additionally, this position participates in the planning and analysis, policy recommendations, budgeting, special projects, and presents oral information to discretionary hearing bodies such as the Planning Commission and City Council. Experience in governmental fund accounting and grant management, including preparing grant applications and ongoing fiscal grant reporting, is highly desirable.
