The Managed Care Scheduling and Mailing Coordinator provides administrative and scheduling support to the Care Coordinators, Utilization Management and Care Management staff. Responsible for the operational aspects of member documentation mailing process. Coordinates and schedules enrollment assessments for the Assessment RN. Communicates with Members on a regular basis and collaborates with team members to support Members needs. This is a full-time, office-based position that reports to our Syracuse Headquarters Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.

  • Prints and processes outgoing mail daily including Patient Centered Service Plans, new member Enrollment Packets, Utilization Management Dept member notification letters and other mailings as needed.
  • Coordinates and assists with contacting managed care applicants for scheduling enrollment assessments for the Assessment RN.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date schedules for the Assessment RN.
  • Collaborates with Care Management Supervisory staff regarding assessment scheduling issues and concerns.
  • Provides courteous, responsive, respectful, and knowledgeable customer service to internal and external customers. And escalates as appropriate.
  • Manages various reports within EHR as directed.
  • Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities
  • Assists various departments with member contacts, faxing, mailing, scanning, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Performs clerical duties, such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, and taking messages, as directed by supervisor
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma. Associates degree preferred in related field.
  • 2 or more years experience in the healthcare industry or a degree as Medical Assistant.
  • Strong computer literacy and comfort, ability and desire to advance technically and understand industry standards.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and participate in their resolution.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and various software applications.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively with ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Associates degree preferred in related field.
