Mammography Ultrasound Technologist Specialist
About The Position
The Breast Health Center at Regions Hospital has an opening for a Mammography and Breast Ultrasound Technologist Specialist. Our Breast Health Center performs diagnostic work, breast ultrasounds, and procedures which include biopsies and seed placements to help in the diagnosis of breast cancer or other breast health problems. These exams require independent judgment and initiative, and you will work with patients of all cultures and physical conditions. Technologists get a variety of experiences and work closely under the direction of our Radiologists. We are a small dedicated team that enjoys working together, and also offer education reimbursement toward continuing education!
Requirements
- Completion of an AMA-accredited program of Radiologic Technology or the Canadian equivalent, plus completion of a mammography training program.
- Radiologic technologist with two years of mammography experience.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and have obtained Mammography Board (and must sit for Breast Ultrasound Board Certification within two years of hire).
- BLS certification from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program on or before the first day of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Three years of experience in a Breast Imaging Center.
- Breast Ultrasound Board Certification.
