About The Position

As a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century. You will perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other devices, ensuring adherence to established company policies and protocols. Your role will involve producing high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care and monitoring patients' well-being during exams.

Requirements

  • ARRT(R)(M) certification
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
  • BLS certification
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
  • Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through the exam process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
