Radiologic Technologists will have the opportunity to train in the Mammography Department. Under the direct supervision of Registered Mammography Technologists and the Breast Imaging Leadership Team, RTs will gain hands-on experience and develop specialized skills necessary to perform mammographic imaging in accordance with departmental standards and regulatory guidelines. Candidates must hold a current South Carolina Radiologic Technologist License, a valid BLS certification, and be registered through the ARRT. Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to train and work at various outreach locations throughout the Charleston area. This position includes a $10,000 sign on bonus is included with up to $1,500 relocation bonus for eligible candidates. Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to train and work at various outreach locations throughout the Charleston area. Trainee will be paid at a Mammography Technologist 1 grade.Trainee will be required to complete and maintain exam checkoffs/paperwork to sit for the mammography registry. Trainee is expected to receive certification within 1 year of hire and commit to one year of employment from the certification date. Should the trainee leave before the two-year commitment, they will be expected to reimburse the department for the cost of exam. If the trainee does not pass the certification exam on the first attempt, they must retake it within six weeks at their own expense. The trainee will be terminated from the program if certification is not obtained within a year of starting the program. The individual will be eligible to apply to other positions for which they are qualified. Selected candidates will receive a $1,000 bonus to help with the expense of a structured online education courses.
