About The Position

This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols, ensuring optimal care/treatment to the patient population. The role is within Banner Imaging, a customer-focused team providing a comprehensive range of Medical Imaging procedures in a friendly work environment with career growth opportunities. As a Multi-Modality Tech I, the individual will be required to rotate to Mammography, Breast Ultrasound and/or Dexa certified. The team emphasizes working together to support each other, improve efficiency and workflow, learn from each other, and maintain a positive work environment and culture. The position is located at 4291 N Campbell Ave Tucson, AZ 85719, with hours from 8:00a - 4:30p, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or call. Banner - University Medical Center Tucson is nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care, teaching future health-care professionals, and conducting groundbreaking research. Requirements

  • National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable
  • Advance certification by accrediting body in Mammography required within 18 months of hire
  • BLS certification
  • Roles supporting mobile medical unit require travel within local community

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred for roles supporting mobile medical unit
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
  • Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies if applicable.
  • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
  • Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  • Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
  • Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients.
