About The Position
Mammography Technologist --Full Time Summary: Performs mammography procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients and supports the hospital's objective of quality patient care.
Requirements
- HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
- Minimum Experience: one year
- Credentials:ARRT SPECIALTY,RAD
Nice To Haves
- Experience with patient care in a radiology setting.
- Specialty certification.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients, introduces self, and checks patient identification.
- Reviews patient's script to insure that the appropriate exam is being performed.
- Explains procedure and ensures the safety and comfort of patient.
- Produces images and analysis images for interpretation to the Radiologist.
- Assists Radiologist with invasive procedures.
- Requires knowledge of MQSA requirements and adheres to them.
- Performs QA tests daily on equipment.
- Maintains familiarity of computer system to complete orders and cancel exams as necessary.
- Recalls patient's prior exam history as pertinent to exam.
- Exposure with other modalities.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
