The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. The individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. Requirements

Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography.
ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible.
Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT.
High School Diploma.
Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree preferred.
Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred.
Two years of experience in mammography is preferred.
Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.
Prior quality control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate x-ray equipment and perform a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
Understand, promote, and demonstrate the Solis Way.
Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
Effectively communicate procedures to patients and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
Effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions.
Maintain a patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
