About The Position

Swope Health is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Mammography Technologist to be a part of its mission to provide the highest quality care to the patients who need it the most. Our Mammography Technologists are responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammograms, and general x-ray exams, in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards. The technologist will collaborate closely with radiologists through teleradiology, as well as referring providers and other team members to ensure accuracy and timely results.

Requirements

  • ARRT (R); Mammography Certification Preferred (M)
  • Current with all credentials, continuing education, and experience needed for ACR, MQSA/FDA requirements.
  • 1 to 2 years experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in computer-based software programs; PACS, EMR, Image Tracking software, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 2d and 3d screening and diagnostic mammograms and x-rays maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.
  • Monitors daily workload to ensure timely service and meet client satisfaction and turnaround expectations.
  • Performs related support duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and clients, responding efficiently to questions, issues, and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records, complete documentation and follow-up as needed for completion and follow-up as needed.
  • Assists in ensuring operation of equipment by trouble shooting, calling for appropriate service, and/ or collaborating with the other supporting departments as needed
  • Maintains a working knowledge of current trends and technologies in radiology/breast cancer awareness.
  • Maintain clean working environment by following proper infection control techniques and policies
  • Adhere to state and federal regulations to ensure quality assurance and patient safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement, training, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Other job duties, as assigned.
