About The Position

As a Mammography Technologist, you will be a vital part of our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-focused imaging services. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art mammography equipment, ensuring that every patient receives a comfortable and accurate screening experience. You will work closely with our skilled medical team, using your expertise to assist in early detection and contribute to the overall health and well-being of the women in our community. Department/Center Highlights:  Patient-Focused Team Cohesive and Friendly Environment Supportive and Encouraging Atmosphere ​​​​​​​Here is what you will need:  A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist: Provide services and support for the following areas: The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist. Specific duties may include but are not limited to: Complete patient education regarding the exam Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. Requirements

  • Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills
  • Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Complete patient education regarding the exam
  • Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered
  • Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
