Work Shift: 10 Hours - Day Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Union Position: No Department Details Summary Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography-related examinations to produce radiograph images for clinical screening and diagnostic purposes. Job Description Ensures accurate body positioning and provides mammograms to women under direct supervision. Implements radiation safety standards and relevant policies into imaging practices. Processes and evaluates the technical quality of images. Delivers care and support services to clients before, during, and after mammogram procedures (e.g. explaining procedures, answering inquires, etc.). Possesses a positive attitude, compassion, and an acceptance of diversity. Maintains records and updates history associated with mammography. Educates women the importance of mammography in preventing breast cancer. Demonstrates knowledge and an understanding of anatomy, pathology, physiology, and medical terminology. Maintains continuing education credits as necessary. Sanford Rural Health Network Facility sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays. Perform diagnostic radiology procedures. Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of general radiology protocols. May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.
