About The Position

The Mammography Technologist of the Franciscan team performs mammography screening, diagnostic evaluations, and procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients. This position assists in the training of students and technologists in Mammography. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Assume responsibility for self-development, and keep current on the latest technology/techniques. Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms. Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure. Complete all mammography, bone density, breast ultrasound exams, and procedures. Identify optimal images, and evaluate and submit for physician review. Confirm patient identification, and obtain and records patient identification. Review and update patient documentation in EMR/PACS. Practice established safety and quality guidelines (MASA/ARC), and utilize ALARA radiation reduction tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Professional/Vocational/Trade Training Radiology
  • Radiology/Imaging Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Radiology Technologist License (RADTECH) - State Licensing Board As required by State
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - . As required by State
  • Mammography (ARRT-M) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) As required by State
