About The Position

Mammography Technologist Department: Mammography Location: Trinity Health Livonia and Livonia Medical Center Shift: Day Shift (7:30 am - 4:00pm or 8:00 am - 4:30pm) No weekends Position Purpose: The mammography technologist will perform diagnostic imaging functions as described in the staff technologist job description. In addition, the mammography technologist will perform mammographic imaging and assume QA/QC responsibilities. The mammography technologist must be self-motivated, use independent judgement and be able to work with minimum supervision. The mammography Technologist must be uniquely empathetic to high stress situations.

Requirements

Completion of a JCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Registered Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT or registry-eligible and must achieve Mammography-certification within six months of hire
Maintain Continuing Education credits (24 CEC in two year period) and other ARRT requirements
Maintain 15 Continuing Education credits (CEC) in Mammography within a 3-year period.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the hospital

Nice To Haves

Sterio tactic breast biopsy experience preferred
