Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists Work Location: 8547 NW 186th St Hialeah, FL 33015 Position Status: Full-Time Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Occasional Saturdays Required) The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. Requirements

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;
• Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location;
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree preferred
• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;
• Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
• Prior quality control experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
• Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
• Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
• Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
• Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
• Complete appropriate documentation.
• Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
• Assist in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
• Promote privacy and comfort for the patient.
