About The Position
Mammography Technologist – NEW Outpatient Imaging Center Opening in Bluffton, SC (Near Hilton Head Island) Start Date: March/April 2026 Schedule: Full-Time (8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday) with flexible scheduling and potential weekend/evening coverage As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for the integration of scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. This responsibility includes completing scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible in order to provide the most remarkable patient experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Certification in Mammography
- ARRT registered and Mammography registry
- Completed required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
- 0 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Continuing education in diagnostic mammography and related fields.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening mammograms under supervision
- Assist in patient education and preparation
- Ensure the patient’s comfort and safety during and after the mammography procedure.
- Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the mammography procedure.
- Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to maintain the mammography machine in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
- Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in diagnostic mammography.
- Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for patient documentation and record-keeping.
