About The Position

As a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century. You will perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other devices, ensuring adherence to established company policies and protocols. Your role will include producing high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care and monitoring patients' well-being during exams.

Requirements

• ARRT(R)(M) certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment.
• Monitor patients' well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through the exam process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
