About The Position

Come join our team! We are searching for team members who are passionate about challenging and exciting work for the good of every patient! This position is PRN, day, located at Frankfort Hospital. Performs quality diagnostic and screening mammographic studies utilizing a knowledge of anatomic positions, equipment maneuverability, and technical factors to determine and produce the projection or position that demonstrates each patient's unique problem, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the patient's well-being throughout the examination. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certification in Mammography (M) through the ARRT within 12 months of hire.
  • If performing breast ultrasound, must obtain credential through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): RT(S)(BS), or RT(R)(M)(BS); within 18 months of hire.
  • Current license through Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Ability to learn breast ultrasound procedures, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently meets Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements, preferred.
