About The Position
Join our team as a day shift, full-time Mammography Technologist at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, an 83-bed acute care hospital located in Harker Heights, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures, ensuring that appropriate imaging parameters are utilized to provide physicians with quality diagnostic images. You will explain the mammography procedure to patients and their family members in a thorough and professional manner, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process. Your responsibilities will also include entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS), providing minimal nursing care to patients, and transporting them safely to and from Imaging Services. You will be tasked with ordering supplies for the division, maintaining department paperwork, and ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will assist in the Quality Assurance/Improvement Program of Imaging Services and perform quality control on equipment, adhering to radiation safety standards.
