About The Position

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. This role is essential in supporting patient care, research, teaching, and community service, as part of the mission of Mass General Brigham. The position requires weekend shifts, specifically Saturday and/or Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with shift differentials and an additional $6/hour for regularly scheduled weekend hours. A generous sign-on bonus of $20,000 is offered where applicable, and the starting rate for new graduates is $45.25/hour.

Requirements

• Certificate or Associate's Degree in Medical Imaging required.
• Radiologic Technologist [MA] required.
• Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 90 days of start.
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred.
• Mammography [R.T.(M)(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 1 year of start.
• 1-2 years of mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other devices as appropriate.
• Position patients and use immobilization if necessary.
• Select proper mode to produce correct exposure factors.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
• Prepare and set up medical supplies using aseptic techniques if appropriate.
• Explain procedures to patients.
