About The Position

Mammography Technologist Trainee Work Location: Clear Lake, TX Work Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week) Position Highlights: Paid training in mammography with industry leader in women’s healthcare Employment guaranteed following passing mammography registry Here is what you will need: Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography; If student, must be in your final semester of Radiologic Technology program An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology; Ability to stand for long periods of time A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist Trainee: Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate. Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health; Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills Why Solis Mammography? Requirements

  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography
