We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Mammography Technologist Trainee to join our radiology team. Candidates must be ARRT registered radiologic technologists with a strong interest in pursuing certification in mammography. This trainee position offers both didactic and clinical training to prepare you for a successful career in mammography.
Facility: Novant Health Breast Center
Location: 315 Lillington Avenue Charlotte, NC 28204
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule Details: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (possibility of 4-10s)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered
• Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
• Must have active state licensure, where applicable
• 0 to 2+ years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist

Nice To Haves

• Strong interest in obtaining mammography certification
• Working knowledge of radiologic procedures and standards
• Skill in operation of radiology equipment
• Working knowledge of computers, software applications, technology and peripheral office equipment
• Customer service background and focus

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing mammography procedures under the supervision of a certified mammography technologist.
• Prepare patients for mammography exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate mammography equipment and adhere to established protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mammography.
• Follow all regulatory and accreditation standards, including those set by the ARRT and ACR.
