Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations and procedures in accordance with physician orders, regulatory guidelines, and departmental protocols.
Ensures patient comfort and safety, provides accurate imaging for interpretation by radiologists, and maintains compliance with MQSA and ACR standards while supporting a positive patient experience.
Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed.
Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements.
Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps.
Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.

High School Grad or Equiv – required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - required
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - required

Associate’s degree – preferred
Certified Radiologic Tech (CR-TECH) - preferred
