About The Position

The Mammography Technologist position is a per diem role located in Skokie, IL. The position requires performing Mammography examinations under the direction of a Staff Radiologist, ensuring optimum technical quality for diagnostic use. The technologist will also handle various technical and clerical duties, maintaining high standards of quality care and adhering to ACR guidelines. Patient safety is paramount, and the technologist will explain procedures to patients as needed. Specialized exams will also be performed under the guidance of the staff radiologist.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• ARRT certification required.
• IEMA license.
• Mammography experience preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required; typing 25-35 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mammography examinations at a level of optimum technical quality.
• Conduct a variety of technical and clerical duties requiring independent judgment and initiative.
• Maintain high standards of quality care and adhere to ACR guidelines.
• Ensure patient safety during examinations.
• Explain procedures to patients with tact and clarity.
• Perform specialized exams under the direction of the staff radiologist.
