About The Position
Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Mammography Technologist II to join a team that employs pioneering, innovative techniques to treat a variety of conditions with less risk, less pain, and as little stress as possible. The organization is recognized ten years in a row on the “Best Hospitals” Honor Roll by U.S. News & World Report. Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The team consists of radiologists and imaging specialists who are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties, American College of Radiology certified technologists, and customer-service oriented staff. They provide patients with brand new imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a compassionate environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Mammography program
- ARRT(R) certification
- State of California Radiology certification
- State of California Mammography certifications
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- A minimum of 1 year of Mammography experience
Nice To Haves
- ARRT(M) preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of scans/procedures from basic to somewhat complex relative to a specific patient population
- Assist physicians in performing procedures
- Transport medications from the delivery area to an authorized imaging area
- Perform needle and radar localizations, as well as stereotactic breast biopsies
- Exercise cultural competency in providing patient education
- Maintain a safe environment by identifying and reporting any safety concerns
