Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
• 1+ years experience in Mammography [Required]
• 1+ years experience performing stereotactic core biopsies [Required]
• 1+ years experience performing breast needle localizations [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Mammographer (RTMARRT) [Required]
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) [Required]

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations and procedures in accordance with physician orders, regulatory guidelines, and departmental protocols.
• Performs advanced procedures such as localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and seed implants.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety, provides accurate imaging for interpretation by radiologists, and maintains compliance with MQSA and ACR standards.
• Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed.
• Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
• Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps.
• Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.
