About The Position
CaroMont Health is hiring a Mammography Technologist to work on a relief basis at the CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC! The role involves performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography, breast localizations, and specimen x-ray. The technologist will assist with stereotactic breast biopsy procedures and may be required to staff the Mobile Mammography Coach, providing coverage for mobile events, some of which occur outside routine business hours. The position requires meeting MQSA and ACR requirements, maintaining a 2.5% repeat rate, performing spot magnification and compression views as needed, and properly placing films on a multiviewer for interpretation. Additionally, accurate and complete information/records for MQSA and ACR must be maintained, along with thorough documentation of patient records in the organization's electronic health record system.
