About The Position

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients. Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Always follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • 1-3 Years' experience beyond staff radiographer level preferred.
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Additional Mammography (ARRT)(M) certification required within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and efficient Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.
  • Demonstrate good clinical skills to provide the best possible images for interpretation.
  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.
