Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
Certification in Mammography
ARRT registered and Mammography registry
Completed required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
Active state licensure, where applicable
2+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Continuing education in diagnostic mammography and related fields.

Responsibilities

Independently perform screening mammograms
Provide guidance to junior mammographers
Ensure the patient’s comfort and safety during and after the mammography procedure.
Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the mammography procedure.
Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to maintain the mammography machine in optimal condition.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in diagnostic mammography.
Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for patient documentation and record-keeping.
