About The Position

As a Mammography Technologist Trainee at RadNet, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering quality, value, and access in healthcare. This position involves completing a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar, including 8 hours of training in digital mammography, which will be reimbursed by RadNet. You will also receive hands-on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry and must pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam to become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified. The role includes participating in projects and meetings, safeguarding onsite medications, and demonstrating respect for company property and patient information. You will be expected to maintain professional behavior towards patients and coworkers, respect patient boundaries, and establish cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
  • BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
  • A keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and compassion in patient care.
  • Ability to provide a calm and friendly demeanor to patients.
  • Quick thinking and ability to take appropriate action in emergent situations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8-hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
  • Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
  • Be provided hands-on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
  • Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam.
  • Become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
  • Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Safeguard any onsite medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
