The Mammography Tech will be responsible for producing quality mammography images for interpretation, ensuring patient safety, educating patients about procedures, adhering to infection control standards, and following regulatory guidelines. This position is part-time, with a schedule of Friday 8 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday 8 AM to 2 PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) (R) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produces quality mammography images for interpretation.
  • Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing proper exposure and protective measures.
  • Educates and explains procedures to patients.
  • Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
  • Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety Procedures for self and others.
  • Follows department protocols in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms.
  • Follows regulatory guidelines and performs QA/QC as mandated by ACR/ MQSA.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
  • Attends departmental meetings as required.
