About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Pflugerville Clinic (MOB) Imaging team. This weekday-only clinic position offers a consistent Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule with no nights or weekends, making it ideal for technologists seeking work-life balance in an outpatient setting. As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform high-quality breast imaging exams while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with MQSA, ACR, and Baylor Scott & White standards.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - ARRT-M Mammography (ARRT-M)
  • ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to established protocols.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, compression, exposure, and image quality for accurate interpretation.
  • Use AIDET communication to explain procedures, reduce patient anxiety, and provide a positive experience.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for exams while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
  • Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique guidelines.
  • Maintain mammography equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Verify requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding, and consent documentation.
  • Accurately document exams and maintain imaging records in PACS and EMR systems.
  • Support clinic workflow by minimizing wait times and maintaining professional service standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor or trainer for new team members as needed.
  • Participate in call coverage, if required.
