About The Position

The Quality Specialist will oversee modality specific quality and safety processes and workflows as well as an education and training structure for Imaging services located in all hospital and ambulatory locations, respective to the assigned modality. Position Summary The Quality Specialist position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality and Safety standards, processes and workflows, student and employee onboarding, and training and competency requirements. The Quality Specialist provides all quality assessment activities for the assigned modality in addition to the maintenance of accreditation and regulatory requirements. The Quality Specialists for each modality will collaborate to develop and maintain a consistent and robust Quality and Safety program for all Imaging Services operations. Reporting to the Imaging Services Associate Director, this Quality Specialist will foster a just culture and culture of safety to develop an effective and reliable quality and safety program structure through the involvement of stakeholders and defining program goals. In partnership with the Department of Radiology Leadership, the Quality Specialist will integrate continuous quality improvement and learning into the department and assigned modality across the organization, while prioritizing patient and referring clinical experiences to enhance outcomes. This individual will view high-quality care as safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Requirements

  • Current Radiography license, ARRT (R) required.
  • Advanced Registry in modality required, if applicable.
  • Current Radiography ODH license required.
  • Minimum Associates Degree in relevant field of study required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in modality over which the employee is a lead.
