What you will do: Completes all procedures as described in the policy and procedure manual; including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, bone density (if qualified) and diagnostic radiography. Assists in the coordination of procedures with the radiologist and referring physician. Competently participates in procedures with the radiologist. Performs consent process with appropriate patients, ensures all documents are completed before initiation of exam. Identifies and safely transports patients to and from the department. Properly IDs and QCs images and sends images to PACS. Assumes responsibility for film and image management in PACS and completes accurately related Radiology Information System (RIS) functions. Instructs student technologists and peers as required. Monitors area for safety and uses safe radiation practices Participates in continuing education that enhances job performance. Assists with quality assurance procedures and maintains all records Schedule: 40 hours a week Varied daytime shifts, all 8 hrs. Earliest start time would be 7 am and latest end time would be 5 pm.
