Job Description: The Mammography Technologist performs mammography and other radiographic examinations according to establish protocols set forth by the medical director. The Mammography Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. The Mammography Technologist maintains knowledge and awareness of radiation protection and safety during all radiographic examinations. The Mammography Technologist prepares for and assists the radiologist with intricate radiographic examinations. The Mammography Technologist will prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as well as state and federal regulations.
