About The Position
Performs mammography exams including stereotactic biopsy exams and bone densitometry exams by demonstrating anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must acquire ARRT(R) within specified guidelines of ARRT.
- Must have acquired mammography training as specified by FDA & ACR.
- Then must achieve ARRT(R)(M) within 24 months of hire.
- BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred at least 1 year of mammography experience.
