About The Position

Fall 26-27 Male Residency Program MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Co-Teaching: Adjuncts will work with students in a host teacher's classroom. Adjunct classroom responsibilities increase over the course of the school year and include facilitation of small group instruction and tier II intervention, co-facilitating the classroom management system, co-facilitating procedural routines & transition activities. Small Group Instruction: Adjuncts participate in a small group differentiated instruction experience that is designed to provide an opportunity to work intensively with a small group of students from the host classroom. Adjuncts assess and analyze student data, plan and teach data-driven lessons. Adjuncts select a small, inclusive group of students that they will support in an identified content area. Adjuncts create and deliver targeted tier intervention supports to the selected student group. Substitute Teaching: Adjuncts shall not substitute teach in or out of host teacher's classroom. Formative Assessments & Diagnosing Student Needs: Interpret and report the results of formal and informal assessment to support appropriate instruction. Develop an educationally appropriate Individualized Education Program (IEP) including levels of performance and standards aligned IEP goals and objectives. Formally report and discuss formal assessment results with key stakeholders, to include grade level/content area teachers. Classroom Management: Adjuncts implement classroom management with an emphasis on the importance of building positive relationships and mutual respect with learners. Adjuncts enact classroom management strategies which sustain a strong teacher presence in the classroom. Adjuncts deliver effective, precise instruction that leads to desired student outcomes. Adjuncts plan and implement a classroom management system that includes classroom routines, as well as procedures for reinforcing consequences. Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees/campus-based positions because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel.
