About The Position
At Draycott we care about care! We are looking for a Male Live In Carer to join our team… is this you? Salary: Weekdays £138.60 per day, and weekends £148.10 per day, plus food allowance Location: Across London Why be a Carer with Draycott Nursing & Care? Established three decades ago, we are a leader in the domiciliary care market. Building excellent, lasting relationships with our clients and local support units such as GPs, Pharmacies, and other Healthcare Professionals. We like to match our carers’ schedules to our clients’ needs; these may vary from physical and practical support to social and emotional care. What does a Live-In Carer do? As a live-in carer, you'll live with your client for the duration of your rota. We are ideally looking for a carer who can commit to a working pattern of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Depending on the needs of your client, shifts can range from 10-12hours a day. During this time, you will be able to take breaks. If your client can’t be left alone during your break, cover will be arranged; we call this relief care. Key areas you might be dealing with; Discreet and sensitive personal care, as well as catheter care Meal planning, preparation, and potentially assistance with feeding Medication administration and management Light housekeeping Assisting with mobility Companionship and emotional support
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as a mandatory requirement (or show proof of being current on the Update Service)
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without the requirement of company sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Communicating effectively with the client and building a strong, lasting relationship
- Working closely with the wider Draycott Head Office support team to ensure the best service for our clients
- Keeping accurate, factual written accounts of your time with the client via our care management app
- An awareness of the client’s emotional and spiritual needs
- Observing and following Draycott Nursing’s Health and Safety policy
