About The Position

This position is for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to assist a male client who is showing early signs of dementia and is considered a fall risk. The client resides at home with his wife, who has her own personal assistant. The role is exclusively focused on providing care and support to the male client, including medication oversight, redirection for nonphysical behaviors, and companionship for memory support.

Requirements

• Two valid forms of identification
• Current TB test results
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols, especially regarding fall-risk procedures
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Experience as a caregiver
• Experience in supporting clients with memory challenges

Responsibilities

• Ensure the individual takes their prescribed morning medication as scheduled, following all agency guidelines for medication assistance
• Provide redirection regarding nonphysical behaviors
• Offer companionship and redirection as needed for memory support
• Assist with personal care needs
