About The Position

The Make Ready Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair work to ensure that property facilities and vacated apartments are in good working condition and ready for new residents. This role requires a technical background and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring timely completion of tasks to maintain high standards of service.

Requirements

• 1-3 years minimum experience required in community management maintenance or other building maintenance
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Florida Drivers License
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Proficient in using general maintenance equipment, including hand tools and safety equipment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Skill in using computers and software for data entry and processing
• Ability to solve basic problems using mathematics
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
• Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to establish and maintain accurate records
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written format
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions for timely completion
• Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license and operate company van safely
• Ability to work On-Call 1 week every 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Complete Make Ready units assigned by Make Ready and Maintenance Manager
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies
• Communicate effectively with residents when on-call
• Perform turnkey work
• Remove and discard any debris or trash from Make Ready units
• Diagnose problems with household appliances, plumbing, electric, carpentry, and HVAC
• Perform basic repairs on household appliances, plumbing, electric, carpentry, and HVAC
• Other tasks or duties may be assigned as needed.
