How you’ll make an impact : Assisting residents and your maintenance team alike As a Make Ready, you prepare our resident’s future home by inspecting it and making sure it’s move-in ready. Assist the maintenance team with any major projects or repairs as well as in emergency situations

  • The Make Ready position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year.
  • Ability to continuously walk for 8 or more hours per day.
  • It is estimated an Assistant Lead Maintenance technician will spend 99-100% of their time moving and on their feet.
  • Frequently moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the office for various needs.
  • Frequently transporting and moving appliances up to 100 pounds in and out of apartments and across various distances.
  • Must have the ability to climb, stoop, bend and grasp objects.
  • Visual acuity to perform the following: transcribing, operating machines, and motor vehicles, determining accuracy and neatness of work assigned, as well as visual inspection involving small defects and parts.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary sitting position or stationary standing position 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the trash out of apartments with the grounds team.
  • Inspect appliances, faucets, A/C systems, safety devices, etc. to ensure they are in working condition.
  • Inspect work of the unit’s construction and point out any chipped or missing paint, flooring, tile, etc.
  • Identify parts, supplies, materials, and pending items needed to complete the unit turn in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance as needed by replacing exterior light bulbs, ensuring the irrigation system is in working condition, and walking the property to identify any potential liabilities.
  • Complete service requests by testing/inspecting safety equipment and devices, perform water/sewer extractions, replace blinds and A/C filters, and other tasks assigned by the Lead Maintenance.
  • Change front door and mailbox locks before turning the unit back over to the leasing team.
