About The Position

Brookfield Properties is seeking a talented, problem-solving maintenance professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys a team environment. The Make Ready Maintenance Technician assists in performing a variety of custodial and general maintenance duties related to apartment turns at a multifamily residential property. This includes heavy cleaning duties, painting, repairing apartment interiors, and basic maintenance tasks. The position reports needed repairs to the maintenance supervisor to help the property meet regulated standards. Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• High School Diploma/GED (3-4 years of experience can offset this minimum educational requirement).
• Computer and smart phone literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities.
• Self-motivated.
• Team-player.

• Interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Customer service skills.
• Personal accountability.
• May require a valid driver’s license depending on the needs of the property.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance functions under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor with apartment turns, including drywall repair and painting.
• Responsible for cleaning vacant apartments and common areas.
• Assists the Maintenance Technicians with managing work orders related to apartment turns and preventative maintenance.
• Provides excellent customer service to residents with friendliness, positive attitude, empathy, and responsibility.
