About The Position

The Make Ready Assistant Manager at North Park Lexus Dominion is responsible for supervising and directing the make-ready and detail technicians to ensure vehicles are prepared for delivery. This role focuses on managing work schedules, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining the efficiency and security of the make-ready process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct make-ready and detail technicians in vehicle preparation for delivery.
• Schedule preventative maintenance of all equipment.
• Assign make-ready personnel and detail technicians to appropriate work areas.
• Enforce proper use of the department's designated parking area, supplies, and utilities to eliminate waste and maximize profitability.
• Manage work schedules and issue reprimands when necessary.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage time cards and work schedules.
• Monitor and organize an effective and secure key system.
• Train make-ready and detail technicians.
• Ensure security of clients' possessions.
• Order and inventory make-ready supplies.
• Act as liaison between department staff and Sales Managers to facilitate vehicle processes.
• Detail clients' vehicles as needed.
• Assist with recruiting for the department.
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation.
• Note damage and notify Service for claims within 24 hours.
• Perform quality control inspections of all vehicles before delivery.
• Coordinate with Sales and Service to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Attend weekly department meetings.
