About The Position

The Major Account Executive, SMB Sales at T-Mobile is a true hunter role focused on acquiring new accounts within an assigned geographic territory. This position requires meeting and exceeding monthly sales quota objectives by successfully bringing T-Mobile products and services to underserved markets. Responsibilities include advanced prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads and referrals. The executive will analyze customer needs, utilize sophisticated solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services, tailor customer recommendations, negotiate, and close business deals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking
  • Demonstrated experience delivering superior customer service and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Effective negotiating and closing skills, including communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving.
  • Experience preparing, delivering, and following-up on product/service proposals and pricing quotations
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • 4-7 years outside sales experience with demonstrated history of sales achievements in a commissioned environment
  • 2 years experience solutions/applications selling
  • 2 years telecommunications / technical sales

Responsibilities

  • Generate and work leads through prospecting, cold calling, and networking up-market.
  • Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services. Recommend wireless solutions with regard to price plans, data and other enhanced services, handsets, and accessories.
  • Devise creative and effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.
  • Negotiate and close deals.
  • Partner proactively with Retail Stores in assigned territory to drive Business Sales results through education on Business Sales products and services and closing on Business Sales leads.
  • Fully utilize all sales force automation, funnel management, and prospecting tools. Manage sales funnel and generate reporting on sales activities and forecasting.
  • Continuously update knowledge of products, services, industry trends, and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace. Participate in training opportunities on products and services and attend sales meetings.
